Taylor is a freelance writer, market editor, stylist and blogger living and working in New York City. She covers a range of lifestyle topics including fashion, menswear, travel, dating, and pop culture.
Her professional career has been grounded in the digital space—she began her career in New York as an editorial intern for Elle.com. From there she has served as Senior Editor, Fashion Editor, and a Menswear Editor for a variety of online publications.
In 2015 she transitioned into her most exciting role yet: freelance writer, editor and most recently, stylist. Her clients include Teen Vogue digital, CBS Watch! magazine, About.com, Style Girlfriend and The Today Show.
When she's not writing or blogging, Taylor loves spending time in Sun Valley, Idaho with her family, exploring the East Coast with friends and looking for love in all the wrong places. She prefers and Old Fashioned over a Manhattan and would eat the spaghetti al limone at Supper every day if she could.
Writing & Styling Work
In December 2015, Taylor became the Women's Fashion Expert for About.com. In this role she creates informative, creative and helpful style stories that provide women with an accessible and realistic perspective on dressing and feeling good every day. She also updates old, dated and inaccurate past stories to maintain the health and accuracy of about.com's style content.
Taylor is a frequent contributor to Teen Vogue digital, creating complete fashion and accessory market stories as well as breaking news stories and celebrity style content. You can see her portfolio for Teen Vogue here.
Since 2009, Taylor has run her own fashion and lifestyle blog, SHUT UP I LOVE THAT. The site is a space for her to share her personal style tips, travels and musings on life in New York City. Taylor posts original content multiple times per week and has collaborated on projects with Westin Hotels, Crest, Templeton Rye, PopSugar, AOL, Lyst, General Motors, Paige Denim, Framebridge, Ugg Australia, and Proof Eyewear among others.
SHUT UP I LOVE THAT has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, New York magazine online, StyleCaster, AOL StyleList and The Huffington Post, among others.
Previous Editorial Work
As the Fashion and Menswear Editor of both Lifestyle Mirror and The Luxer, Taylor spend more than two years creating original and engaging content in the luxury fashion space. She covered topics ranging from menswear to runway trends, shopping tips, celebrity style, news and profiles.
Taylor's first full-time job in New York was as the Senior Editor for Independent Fashion Bloggers, a content producer, global community and resource for thousands of fashion bloggers who's goal is to grow their blog into a business. She created daily articles that touched on topics from coding to photography, writing tips, ethics, affiliate marketing, social media and more. Twice a year, Taylor and the IFB team (all four of them) would fund, plan, organize and run IFBcon, the first conference of it's kind—aimed specifically at educating fashion and lifestyle bloggers and helping them network with peers and businesses.
